One-Time Pool Cleaning Services
Sometimes a pool is not ready for weekly cleaning services when we first inspect it. This can happen if the pool is extremely dirty or if your equipment needs repairs. We offer a range of one-time cleaning services to handle all sorts of issues such as algae blooms, surface stains, and dirty filters.
Green Pool Cleanups & Chlorine Washing
When algae is able to grow and thrive in your pool, the water can turn into a green swampy mess. Green pools are not only an eyesore but also unsafe for swimming. Algae blooms can occur for a number of reasons, such as low chlorine levels, high pH, high phosphate levels, or pool filtration problems.
Ambiance’s green pool cleaning services will get your pool looking crystal clear again. We will perform a chlorine shock to kill the algae, brush and scrub pool surfaces, backwash the filtration system, and restore your water’s chemical balance. In severe cases, we may drain your pool and perform a chlorine wash to kill algae spores living on the walls and floor.

Power washing is a gentler alternative to acid washing, using high-pressure jets to spray away surface stains, grime, and mineral buildup on pool surfaces. Power washing can also be used to clean your pool deck and patio!
Equipment Cleaning
Every so often, your pool equipment needs to be cleaned in order to function properly. Ambiance’s weekly maintenance plans already include equipment cleaning as a part of our pool technicians’ routine, but we also can provide these services on a one-off basis:
- Pool Filters: Ambiance can clean cartridge filters, sand filters, and DE filters. You can tell if the filter needs to be cleaned when the pressure gauge shows a 10 PSI increase from its typical pressure level. We recommend filter cleanings at least every six months.
- Pool Pumps: The skimmer and pool pump basket should be cleaned on a weekly basis. Sometimes, your pump impeller may also get clogged with leaves and debris that prevent it from pushing water through the filtration system.
- Salt Chlorinators: Salt chlorinators are prone to scale, which interferes with its ability to produce chlorine. The salt cell will need to be cleaned whenever you notice calcium buildup on the metal plates.
